Malchittu temple
About two kilometres from the entrance of Arzachena you can visit another area of archaeological interest including the Malchittu Temple, the Albucciu Nuraghe and the Tomb of the Moru Giants.
The Malchittu Temple is one of the best preserved structures used for worship in Sardinia: despite the lack of a roof, in fact, the structure of the building is visible almost entirely and allows you to understand the original appearance.
The Nuraghe Albucciu has the characteristics of a "corridor" nuraghe for the rectangular plan of the base and those of a "tholos" nuraghe for the shape of the tower.
The Tomb of the Moru Giants is situated about one hundred metres from the Nuraghe Albucciu and, compared to its twins, it is the least preserved because only part of the burial corridor is visible.
During the summer, the archaeological sites of Arzachena host various events, with plays of light, theatre and music, which transform the atmosphere of these millenary places into an even more transcendental experience.
