La Maddalena Archipelago

The archipelago is formed by a group of islands located in the north-east of Sardinia, not far from the Costa Smeralda. Among the most important are La Maddalena, Caprera, Santo Stefano, Santa Maria, Razzoli, Budelli, Spargi and other smaller islands.
The numerous coves, made unique by the transparency of the crystal clear sea and the granite cliffs covered with wild vegetation, frame the wonderful beaches of fine white sand and represent the ideal destination of North Sardinia for snorkelling and scuba diving activities.
The island of Caprera, connected by an artificial isthmus to La Maddalena, is known for having hosted Giuseppe Garibaldi during his exile. Here you can also visit the famous house-museum of the hero of the two worlds.
